Hazardous waste Share
Materials labelled with precautionary statements must always be submitted with hazardous waste. For further information on precautionary labelling, see the website of the Environment Agency of Iceland. Hazardous material must be delivered in closed containers. Correct labelling on the containers makes it easier to sort hazardous materials and ensure their safe destruction.

Other possibilities
Gas cylinders and carbon dioxide canisters may carry deposits and may be dropped off at most gasoline stations and gas distributers.
They can also be handed in to recognised receivers of hazardous waste. Further information can be found on the website of the Environment Agency of Iceland or by phoning the Agency.
In addition, it is possible to deliver some of the material for incineration to the receiving and incineration station of Kalka in Helguvík, Reykjanesbær. For further information contact Kalka or visit the website kalka.is.
