Note that the carcasses of sheep, goats and cattle are classified under Risk category 1. Such waste is not accepted unless the Icelandic Food and Veterinary Authority has granted an exemption and with the prior agreement of SORPA bs.

Note should be made of veterinary physicians, veterinary clinics and pet cemeteries. It's also possible to deliver the carcasses for incineration to the receiving and incineration station of Kalka in Helguvík, Reykjanesbær. See kalka.is.
