Part of SORPA’s role is to present the company’s projects and the environmental viewpoints applying to the handling of waste. The educational work carried out by SORPA falls under this, and the aim is to raise awareness of the importance of sorting, recycling and reusing waste and to help people be responsible and eco-friendly consumers.
SORPA offers educational tours for groups to visit the company’s various work sites:
Kindergarten and elementary
There is a choice between a presentation at SORPA’s offices and a tour of the receiving and sorting plant (45 minutes) and a visit to a recycling centre (30 minutes).
College, university students and other groups
Educational activities are tailored to the needs of individual groups. We also offer presentations in the premises of companies and schools.
Summer Work Programme
Education presentations for students and supervisors at summer work schools in the Capital Area (1.5 hours).
Up to thirty participants can be accommodated at a time. For visits to the receiving and sorting plant, participants will have to travel by bus, at their own expense.
The educational activities themselves are free (except knowledge visits).
